Chesed

Temple Kol Ami is fortunate to have a dedicated group of caring volunteers who make up the Chesed Committee. At different times in life, members of our synagogue may be in need of support due to financial crises, family illnesses, and/or deaths of loved ones. The committee is quietly enlisted to act as extra helping hands for whatever is needed to support our members. Some examples could include:

  • Hospital Visits
  • Meal Preparation
  • Driving to Appointments
  • Leading Shiva Services
  • Arranging Shiva Meals
  • Grocery Shopping
This committee is a fine example of g'milut chasadim, engaging in deeds of love and kindness, and it is one of the reasons that Temple Kol Ami is such a warm and connected community.
